We would like to present absolutely new dominant polygenetic morph White & Yellow. We received the very first male from his creators Sergey and Raisa Prohorchik in 2006 (below you can see picture of this male) and started crossing him with many other mutation. Now after 3 years of working we would like to show you first our own Calico W&Y and combo morphs on available page. Here you can see history of this morph telling by their creators : http://www.geckosunlimited.com/community/leopard-geckos-other-eublepharis/33516-news-about-white-yellow-morph.html | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

This morph is absolutely new and not related to any other. It is extremely fascinating and we are just starting to discover its secrets. Black Pearls is a joint breeding project of Living Art Geckos and our Dutch friend - Asko Kampinga. The first specimens of Black Pearls appeared in one of Dutch zoological gardens as the first livestock of geckos obtained from their natural environment. Here are the photos of some of them: At Living Art Geckos they arrived in 2006 thanks to an exchange. As it turned out later, they were the only specimens of this morph for all the rest staying in the Netherlands, both adults and the young, died in an accident. Contrary to e.g. Midnight Blizzard it is a not brown colouration morph, but a self mellow black one. Brown does not appear in this morph at all, what is extremely exciting it the process of colouring of this morph. Most of the young is born vary dark, simply black. While growing up their colour fades and they could be taken for Mack Snow except its very fuzzy dark grey pattern. Becoming sexually mature they again get darker drastically, the best specimens lose their pattern and become velvet black. With regard to the limited number of these unique geckos and avoiding inbred raising we carry out a vary careful and slow breeding work. At this moment it is hard to say something certain about the genetic background of Black Pearls. Time will show what potential is hidden in this mutation, however, can you imagine the possibilities: black gecko with carrot head or carrot tail or a black gecko with black/red eye... Years of hard work are ahead of us, but we feel privileged to be able to discover the secrets of Black Pearls. Below you can see adult Black Pearls, young Black Pearls and Hypo/Super Black Pearls...
